It appears that most women have small dogs. But everyone loves Oreo, especially since he's so intelligent. Haven't really "met" any men with him, but he's definitely a social conduit. These days we enjoy our dogs as a family (wife and daughter) but I can definitely relate to your story (but as a man who attracted women). I laughed as I read this as I used to say the same thing when I brought my then young Golden Retriever to the highschool football games on Friday nights. As he was a little nervous around men, I brought him to help socialize him, and like you, I had more men approach me to strike up a conversation about the dog. I used to also say, if I were singIe, what a great way to strike up a conversation. I think one of my then teenage boys used to do a similiar thing when the dog was a puppy because my son was constantly offering to take the puppy places to meet his friends, and we suddenly had lots of teenage girls coming over to the house. I used to say they wanted the puppy only to attract the girls! By the way - I love your new website! Really like the lay-out and there's lots of good information. Great post Marie.
